Breaking
Or as most of us know it, breakdancing. It originates from the Bronx in the 1970s, but as now evolved into a competitive sport. It has regular international events, world championships and a full judging system with accreditation.
16 B-boys and 16 B-girls face off in solo battles. Athletes need to adapt and improvise, connecting to a musical track that is not known in advance. Scoring will be across six criteria: creativity, personality, technique, variety, performativity and musicality. Performativity and creativity hold the most weight – 60%, and the other categories account for the other 40%.

Surfing
Surfing did feature in the last Olympics in Tokyo. However it has been expanded for Paris.
There isn’t an abundance of 20ft waves on the river Seine, so the event will be taking place in French Polynesia, specifically Teahupo’o in Tahiti.
Surfers perform manoeuvres and tricks on a wave that are scored by five judges based on the variety, type and difficulty of the tricks. Surfers are also judged on their speed, power and flow. Surfers prefer shortboards for their flow potential.
Perhaps consider adopting surfing into your Olympic event day by purchasing/borrowing a surfboard and practicing tricks like a balance board or pommel horse. Brush boarding is also an option, hiring a dry surfing simulator for your event.
Skateboarding
Skateboarding is definitely a spectator sport and one now firmly adopted by the Olympic committee after making its debut in Tokyo.
Athletes must carry out their most impressive tricks, meeting criteria for the degree of difficulty, speed and range of moves. Boarding around a varied course, combining bowls. Japan dominated last year, but will they dominate in Paris?
Adapt skateboarding into your Olympic event by creating a box for guests to try to ride up and down on a skateboard. Ensure you do a full risk assessment and your event is safe when adopting sporting practices.
Sport climbing
In sport climbing, 40 to 68 athletes will try to scale a wall more successfully than their competition. The event involves three formats: bouldering, speed and lead. Bouldering is a difficult run without ropes. Speed is a 1-on-1 elimination trying to reach the top of a wall as quick as possible. And lead, is a mystery wall that becomes increasingly more complex.
Make this a fantastic part of your olympic event by offering climbing exercises for your guests to enjoy. Alternatively, hire a professional speed climber to exhibit at your event.
