Exhibition Event Insurance

Exhibition insurance is a type of cover designed to protect the finances of exhibition organisers. Our comprehensive exhibition insurance policies are able to provide full event cover ranging from one-day events to week-long and beyond. Rather than one exhibitor looking to insure their art exhibition, our extensive policy is more suited to organisers and event planners. For exhibitors wanting to cover their mandatory public liability insurance obligations, see our Stallholders Insurance Policy.

Exhibitions, like any event or trade show, include a degree of risk and potential chance for a claim to be made against you. However, exhibitions are unique, often involving individual pieces, each of considerable value to the owner. These types of events require a comprehensive insurance policy underwritten by an experienced professional.

At Insure Our Event, we have a team of experts who will understand your needs and provide you with the correct guidance. In the event of a claim, our in-house claims team have over 20 years of experience in the insurance sector and are guaranteed to get you the best result.

Organising and running a successful exhibition event is hard enough without having to worry about the consequences of a claim. We provide an extensive number of policies which will protect you from any eventuality.

What we cover:

  • Exhibition public liability protection in the event of injury caused by negligence or accident, e.g. a guest knocking over an exhibit and injuring someone.
  • Employers’ liability will cover damages and claims relating to employees or volunteers, e.g. an employee falling over at the event and making a claim
  • Hired or purchased equipment covered in the case of accidental loss, damage or theft that are not already covered by the venue
  • Cancellation and postponement insurance for exhibitions
  • Adverse weather and abandonment cover

What we don't cover:

  • If the exhibitor doesn’t show (although exceptions apply)
  • The invaluable cost of damage to exhibitions
  • Financial loss in direct relation with COVID-19
  • Anything covered by third party insurance, such as the exhibitor’s Stallholders insurance or the venue’s insurance

Effective risk management is crucial to improving safety. It also significantly reduces the chances of exhibition organisers needing to pay vast amounts of money in legal costs and damages. Insure Our Event has created a “Spot The Risk” test, demonstrating the risks involved in running any type of event.

To run a public event, organisers of exhibitions will need public liability insurance. This will cover the costs of accidental injury damages and legal fees concerning a member of the public.

Exhibitors should consider taking out their own insurance as well – this can be found as Stallholders insurance. Exhibition organisers will also need employers’ liability insurance, event cancellation insurance and equipment insurance to stay fully protected.

A comprehensive insurance policy for exhibitions can be arranged by an Insure Our Event expert. Contact us for more information.
