Exhibitions, like any event or trade show, include a degree of risk and potential chance for a claim to be made against you. However, exhibitions are unique, often involving individual pieces, each of considerable value to the owner. These types of events require a comprehensive insurance policy underwritten by an experienced professional.

- The invaluable cost of damage to exhibitions
- Financial loss in direct relation with COVID-19
- Anything covered by third party insurance, such as the exhibitor’s Stallholders insurance or the venue’s insurance
Effective risk management is crucial to improving safety. It also significantly reduces the chances of exhibition organisers needing to pay vast amounts of money in legal costs and damages. To run a public event, organisers of exhibitions will need public liability insurance. This will cover the costs of accidental injury damages and legal fees concerning a member of the public.
Exhibitors should consider taking out their own insurance as well – this can be found as Stallholders insurance. Exhibition organisers will also need employers’ liability insurance, event cancellation insurance and equipment insurance to stay fully protected.
